Personally, I suggest you to read this book. I’ve been following Fitness Made Simple on this book, and it’s work to me. Although I notice that my journey isn’t over yet. In this book, John shares his own experiences to find the best way to has a lean and muscle body.



He had tried several ways on diet and weight training. From low-carbs diet, fat diet and high protein diet and do weight training likes crazy people. But it ended with nothing only failure. Then, he realized that every diet which he had been doing was wrong. And so his training program too.

So, he created the program that later he called Fitness Made Simple. John realizes to has a lean and muscles body that he was dream about, can’t be done only with extreme weight training and high protein diet. And so people who want to lose their weight can’t achieve it only with diet or starving. When people starve their selve, what really happen is that they torture themselves That’s why some many people failure and giving up.

So, he created FMS triangle principles : Nutrition- Exercise- Supplementation. This triangle has been helping many people lose their weight and enhance their healthy. So, here the brief explanation of the three side of triangle :



1. Nutrition

Rather than suggest people to starve themselves with diet, John suggest people to eat six times a day with small portion. Of course, not only just eat small portion of meal, but healthy and delicious food. So, people who join this program won’t starving like others who diet. This healthy and delicious food contains three important elements : good fat, good protein and good carb.

Why John suggest people to eat six times a day ? You can find out the answer on the book. Does it the good news for you who hate diet ? Don’t worry if you want to lose your weight. Although you have to eat at list 4 times a day, there are some tips for you to lose your weight.

And moreover, Fitness Made Simple has some recipes to replace delicious but bad food such as hamburger or pizza, with healthy and delicious foods to support your goal to lose or add your weight. Who have said that healthy foods suck ?

2. Exercise

John set up several simple ways of exercise for all people, whether they never been doing any work out or an expert, female or male, young or old. Actually we have the three programs on FMS, and every program only take less than one hour. Here the programs :

- Abs Training : The aim is to have a lean abs for women, and six packs abs for men. Every abs training only need about 5 minutes

-Weight Training : There are two version of weight training : Home version if you prefer to do it in your home with simple tools like dumbbell. And gym version if you like to do it on a gym. Every weight training programs only need about 30 minutes. The aims are to have muscle and lean body for men and lean, strong body for women.

-Cardio Training : It’s 50 minute cardio to burns down your fat. You can choose the cardio : running, walking or just use treadmill or stationary bike. On this book, you will find one week schedule to integrate these three programs into your daily schedule. And of course step by step to do these three programs. So, don’t worry if you can keep these programs up.

3. Supplementation

In this chapter, John explains the principle and the important of supplement. And then how to choose good supplements, plus he shares to us, his favorite supplements.
